Betting Parlays in Football. There are several different types of football wager you can place, and two of them are significantly more popular than the others. The most popular of all is the point. A parlay is a single wager that links multiple wagers; to win the bet, the player must win all the wagers in the parlay. If the player loses one wager, (s)he loses the entire bet. However, if the player wins all the wagers in the parlay, (s)he wins a higher payoff than if (s)he had placed the bets separately. See full list on thesportsgeek.com.

A parlay is a single bet that links together two or more individual wagers for a high payout. A 2 team parlay might pay 13/5, a three team parlay might pay 6/1, a four team parlay might pay 10/1, and so forth with the payouts getting higher with more teams or totals selected. For a single bet, 2 to 8 teams or totals can be selected.

In order for the parlay bet to win, every one of the wagers must win or push (tie). If any of the selections lose, your wager loses, regardless of the outcome or cancellation of the other games. If one or more selections is a tie, postponed, incomplete, cancelled or rescheduled for another day, then the wager reverts to the next lowest number. For example, if you place a 5 team parlay and have 4 winners and a tie, your wager pays out as a 4 team parlay. If you place a 2 team parlay and one team wins and one ties, the wager becomes a straight bet.

The resulting wager will have the same risk amount with the win being calculated to reflect the odds of the remaining team (Example: On a two team $100 parlay with team A +110 and team B -110 if A ties and B wins the resulting wager will be a straight play on B risking $100 to win $91).

Nfl Football Parlay Betting Explained

Leg 1: Texas A&M at Auburn (+180)

Texas A&M has been one of the surprise teams this season, but could the Aggies potentially fall to Auburn in Week 14? Outside of their loss to Alabama, Auburn has looked good over the last month.

With their ability to run the ball, the Tigers should be able to keep Kelly Mond and the rest of the Aggies' offense off the field. At nearly 2-1 odds, take the Tigers to win this SEC battle Saturday afternoon.

Leg 2: BYU -10 (-115) at Coastal Carolina

This game wasn't on the schedule until just a few days ago, but it's tough to bet against QB Zach Wilson and BYU right now. Coastal Carolina has a fantastic defense, but it hasn't played a quarterback like Wilson yet.

The talent differential on offense is massive and that should allow BYU to cover this double-digit spread.

Leg 3: Memphis (+110) at Tulane

Memphis hasn't been quite the powerhouse we've seen over the last few years, but the Tigers are 6-2 on the season, including wins over Temple and Central Florida. Tulane is coming off an incredibly tough loss against Tulsa.

Does Tulane have the defense to hold Memphis under 30 points? Probably not. Look for this game to be a shootout, but for Memphis to ultimately get the 'W'.

Leg 4: Miami -14.5 (-110) at Duke

Miami has just one loss this season and that came against Clemson. Outside of that game, the Hurricanes have been fantastic. With their offense starting to click and the defense catching fire, they have the ability to blow out any team.

Duke is just 2-7 and has one of the worst defenses in college football. Look for the Hurricanes to score 40 or more points in this game Saturday night.

Leg 5: UCLA (+125) at Arizona State

UCLA is a three-point underdog to Arizona State Saturday night, but those odds seem off. UCLA is averaging nearly 35 points per game this season and has wins over California and Arizona.

We don't know much about this Sun Devils team yet, but they shouldn't be getting three points here. Take the Bruins to win outright late Saturday night.
